Campobello Island is on Atlantic Time - 1 hr earlier

Most directions start at the corner of S. Lubec Rd and Rt. 189 at the old Jones store building (now closed)

Restaurants:

• Murphy's : From S. Lubec Rd. turn right at Rt. 189 into Lubec village. .7 miles past South Lubec Rd. on right. No view but good food, breakfast (any time), lunch & dinner. Live folk music Sunday evenings. Say hello to owners Peter and Mary Sue.
• Uncle Kippy’s turn right at Rt. 189 into Lubec village. .3 miles past South Lubec Rd. on right; some view of bay. Food good, (a few people have complained about the service).
• Home Port Inn: Excellent food and more formal setting at higher prices; reservations preferred; 733-2077. Past Murphy's to fork in road. Straight up hill on your left. Open mid June to mid October.
• Campobello restaurants: see Tourist Information Center on the island and the menu book.

Grocery Stores:

• Quick Shop turn right at 189. Travel about a mile. You will see the shop on your right after the signs for the Campobello bridge. Open until 10pm (check for the latest hours). Convenience store with higher prices.
• Lyon's Market. Next to Quick Shop in the direction of the bridge. Large grocery store. Has everything you need. Opens every day at 8AM – 8PM. (double check these hours)
• Lyon's IGA From S. Lubec cottage turn left on 189 for 4.0 miles. On the right. From Moose Cove take 191 to 189 and turn right. IGA is on left shortly. Has some groceries, but is now also a variety store.
• McFaddens Variety Store Turn left on 189 to Mobile gas station

Quoddy Head State Park: Turn left out of South Lubec cottage driveway and bear left at the fork to the end of the road. About a 5 min. drive. From Moose Cove take 191 towards Lubec. Turn right on Boot Cove Rd., the narrow back road following the shore. Turn right on South Lubec Rd to Quoddy Head.

Campobello Island: Go to center of town following the signs for the Campobello bridge and cross over to Canada. Roosevelt's Home 9-5pm Atlantic time., East Quoddy Lighthouse (go at low tide), Information Center, Ferry to Deer Island.

Boat Tours:

• Captain Andy Patterson's Bold Coast Tours from Cutler Harbor out to Machias Seal Island or back up the coast towards Lubec.
• Captain George Harris' Eastport Windjammers schooner cruisers, salt-water fishing, whale watching, and marine tours.
• Check Campobello information center for other options.

Fresh Lobster and Seafood Little River Lobster Co.at Cutler Harbor (207-259-7704). Lobsters are available April to Christmas. Bold Coast Smokehouse Rt. 189 1-888-733-0807 M-F 8:30-4:30 Sat 9-3.

Fishing Off pier on Campobello Island & Eastport - Cod, Mackerel, Flounder. At Moose Cove off the rocks. Fresh water fishing licenses obtained from town office.

Canoe and Kayak Rentals – Sunrise Canoe and Kayak off Rt.1 in Machias.

Golf Course Campobello Island - 9 holes in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean

Swimming – Herring Cove beach. Ask at Campobello Island Information Center

Tennis Courts obtain directions from Campobello Island Information Center - ask them if you need a key and if you need to schedule ahead.

Ferry between Deer Island & Campobello usually runs from July 1 to Labor Day 1-506-747-2159 or 1-877-747-2159.
